AdVOTEcacy in Action
Join us for our special exhibition-opening event, highlighting the importance of voting and civic engagement to American democracy. In addition to exploring our new landmark exhibition, Yesterday, This Was Home: The Ocoee Massacre of 1920, we invite guests to consider ways that they can raise their voices for the causes that matter to them. In partnership with the League of Women Voters of Orange County, we’ll offer information and resources for new and future voters, including opportunities to register to vote.
Social distancing protocols will be observed and masks are required. For safety purposes, capacity will be limited in our exhibit hall – pre-registration is required.
To promote safe distancing, we have implemented new ticketing procedures for the special exhibition Yesterday, This Was Home: The Ocoee Massacre of 1920.
- We’re using timed tickets for this exhibition. We encourage visitors to purchase them in advance. This is a free event.
- The time windows for tickets are for the expected time of arrival and apply to the special exhibition Yesterday, This Was Home: The Ocoee Massacre of 1920.
- Please arrive and check-in within the window on your ticket. You may stay at the museum until closing.
