Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award Luncheon
- The Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award Luncheon is the annual fundraising event that supports thousands of at-risk youth in Scouting in Central Florida.Established in 1978, the Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award is named in honor of the late Civil Rights Leader and Urban League Executive Director, Whitney M. Young, Jr. The award recognizes outstanding service by an adult or an organization for demonstrated involvement in the development and implementation of Scouting opportunities for culturally and economically diverse youth.
- Who’s going to attend the WMY Luncheon?
- In 2018, more than 240 business, civic and political leaders attended. The campaign is led and organized by a team of esteemed & motivated volunteers. Allie Braswell, Founder and President of The Braswell Group will serve as Chair for this event and will lead a team of more than 20-community leaders that will identify and recruit corporate sponsors, campaign volunteers, dinner attendees and donors.
- How much does it cost to attend the WMY Luncheon?
- There is no ticket cost to attend. All attendees will be asked to consider a pledge during the event.
